At Etéreo by Pedro Nel, we understand that gastronomy is a complete experience in which the plate and the glass must go hand in hand. That is why it is always a privilege to witness moments that mark a milestone in the history of wine.

This week, we had the honour of attending an unforgettable evening at the iconic Real Casino de Tenerife, a setting worthy of the jewel being presented: the new vintage of the legendary Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial 2012.

Guided by Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga, Count of Creixell and the driving force behind the Marqués de Murrieta winery, we were able to explore the nuances of this wine, which is without doubt a world benchmark. Hearing the passion with which Vicente speaks of his legacy, and of the patience needed to create a wine of this calibre, is pure inspiration for us.

Castillo Ygay is not just a wine; it is time, it is wood, it is fruit, and it is an elegance that only decades of mastery can achieve. Tasting it ahead of its release was a sensory experience that reaffirms our commitment to always offering the very best in our own house.

Gatherings like this are also a chance to celebrate the good health of the sector in the islands and to greet great friends and colleagues.
